Biography

Dr Riva is a ‘Biomedical Sciences’ MSc graduate and has a PhD in ‘Molecular Medicine, Immunology, and Inflammation’ from University of Milan. Antonio is also a certified Statistician, holding two BSc-equivalent qualifications in ‘Practical Statistics & Data Analysis’, and ‘Theoretical and Mathematical Statistics, Probability, and Statistical Modelling’.

Dr Riva is the Principal Investigator of the ‘Liver Immunology & Sex-Associated differences’ (LISA) Research Group at the Roger Williams Institute of Liver Studies, and he is also Honorary Lecturer (Adjunct) at King's College London. His current research centers on immune dysregulation and modulation in liver disease, with particular focus on sex-associated differences, alcohol-related, steatotic, and autoimmune liver disease, and liver cancers.
