High-throughput screening for cardiovascular research and therapy

James Black Centre, London

Presenters: Dr Miguel Mano

Title: High-throughput screening for cardiovascular research and therapy

High-throughput screening (HTS) technologies offer a powerful and unbiased approach to investigate biological processes with unprecedented detail and speed. By enabling large-scale functional analysis, HTS can accelerate discovery, provide deeper mechanistic insights, and enable the identification of novel molecular targets and/or (bio)therapeutics.

This workshop will provide an overview of recent advances in HTS, highlight critical aspects for the design and implementation of HTS projects, and discuss their application in biomedical research and development of novel therapeutic strategies.

Agenda:

  • Introduction to High-throughput screening
  • Practical considerations for the design and implementation of large-scale functional screenings
  • Case studies: from discovery to knowledge and therapeutic applications
